Director of PE and Sport - Full-time

We would like to appoint a Director of PE and Sport (Secondary Schools) to join us in September 2024.

We believe this role offers an incredibly exciting opportunity for a PE Leader to take their first steps forward into Senior Leadership. Within VIAT, we have four secondary schools. The Director of PE and Sport will work within all of them to take the subject, and the related opportunities, to new heights.

This is a golden opportunity for a new leader to really make their mark.

You will be an exceptional PE teacher. Within the role, we will be expecting you to teach in some ways at all four schools, as well as coaching and developing the staff.

We are looking for someone who can create new opportunities for our children, no matter what level they are at. Eventually, VIAT aspires to establish a ‘Sports Pathway’ where elite athletes are exposed to the right opportunities, but at the same time, all children are empowered to go on their own journey. This will be through the curriculum, through fixtures, through partnership work and introducing new sports and extra-curricular opportunities across the four schools.

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and relentlessly optimistic PE Leader that inspires others, and can bring the secondary schools together to compete in regular VIAT events that build a community of sport across the four schools.
