The postholder will work closely with the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer to ensure the smooth running of the finance department, working with them to ensure the finance function delivers an outstanding service to the Trust and its schools.

Using your initiative, organisational experience and confident communication skills, you’ll help the department to do more and go further.  This exciting opportunity includes supporting the day to day purchase and sales processing activities required and also being very involved in month end management accounts, budgets, statutory accounts and audit process, as well as assisting the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer to develop and improve the finance function.

This post is full-time, 37 hours per week, all year round.  The salary is paid on grade VIAT 7 (£24,964 to £28,770) and our benefits package includes 25 days annual leave entitlement.

Information about the trust

The Valley Invicta Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Maidstone, Kent. The Trust is a family of primary and secondary schools which work in partnership to provide nothing less than outstanding education for all our young people. Presently the Trust is responsible for five primary schools and three secondary schools:

VIAT Primary Schools

Valley Invicta Primary School at Aylesford, Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes, Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill, Valley Invicta Primary School at Leybourne Chase and East Borough Primary School which has recently joined the Trust.

VIAT Secondary Schools

Invicta Grammar School, Valley Park School and The Lenham School. The Lenham School became a member of the Trust this year joining Invicta Grammar School, the highest performing “non super selective” school in Kent and Valley Park School, the highest performing non-selective school in Kent.
