Lydia Vincett

Lydia was appointed Head of School at Valley Invicta Primary at East Borough in September 2024, after serving as Deputy Headteacher since 2018.

Lydia graduated in 2000 with a BA (Honours) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Roehampton. Over the course of her career, she has worked in several primary schools and undertaken a range of leadership roles, including serving as Deputy Headteacher at another local primary school.

Lydia has a wide range of educational passions, with a particular focus on fostering a lifelong love of reading among children. She strongly believes that reading forms the foundation of all learning and actively promotes it across the school community. Lydia views education as a powerful means of improving children’s life chances and is committed to exploring innovative initiatives and pedagogical approaches that enable every child to thrive. Her interests include developing outdoor learning opportunities and enhancing oracy as essential components of a well-rounded education.
