David Izatt

David Izatt has been retired for a number of years having had a very accomplished and successful thirty year career in the Manufacturing Industry, latterly with Cadbury Schweppes. He held a number of executive posts including those of Factory Manager, Director of Manufacturing and Director of Strategy and Continuous Improvement. He has wide ranging expertise in operational management, organisational development, leadership and people management and he has been a representative on British Institute of Management and Food and Drinks Industry project groups. David was also a sitting member of the Industrial Tribunals Panel.

He has been very closely involved with VIAT for over thirty years starting as a Parent Governor and then holding roles as a Governor, Trustee/Director, and most recently as a Member. For many years David was Vice Chairman of the Governing Body and the Trust and he has served on most committees but has mostly been involved with Finance and Premises, Strategy, and Operational matters.

David has used his professional knowledge and expertise to support and assist many school change and improvement programmes by being a critical friend, a non-executive colleague, a mentor and a consultant.
